I’ve been with y’all most of the way, but I disagree with the scene reading here. Sansa looks visibly annoyed while explaining to Brienne, all that’s missing is fully rolling her eyes. I don’t think even Petyr’s help in their dire situation has endeared him to her, it’s just put her in his debt somehow. Naturally, Petyr’s going to try to use that to his advantage, but I think Sansa was hinting very loudly that she’s got a contingency plan this time (god I hope).
Oh, I’m absolutely certain that show!Sansa has no warm feelings for Baelish… However, it makes absolutely no sense for her to feel indebted to Littlefinger. He gave her to a rapist who tortured her for months. He’s the one who owed her a favour. Besides, the Knights of the Vale are HER cousin’s men! It was HER connection to Sweetrobin that got them to fight for Winterfell.
They were her cousin’s men until Petyr became lord protector of the Vale (not sure how to capitalize that title). At that point, until Sweetrobin is of age, Petyr can control his forces, I believe.
And yes, I agree that Sansa is owed rather than the other way around, but I don’t think she realizes just how much Petyr knew about Ramsay. Maybe she does, and in that case, I can’t wait for her revenge plot.
