Trump is literally textbook evil. If you wrote a villain and ascribed Trump’s words and actions to them, people would tell you it’s too over-the-top.
The Golden Tower with his name, the weekly golfing (even during disasters), the violent threats to anyone who opposes him, the ominous remarks, the way he talks and carries himself and even his appearance.
It’s too much. He’s too much.
Before he ran for president John Mulaney had a bit where he said Trump wasn’t just a rich person, he’s what a hobo imagines a rich person is, he behaves the way you’d expect a cartoon of a rich person to, and I like that description.
I also think it’s very telling, yet at the same time not at all surprising, that the only difference between “Cartoon Rich Person” and “Literal Actual Supervillain” is any degree of official political power.
