a cold, stale take that I want to offer: if someone’s boyfriend killed people, he alone is responsible for that, dead or alive, and no matter how much they’re in love he’s always going to be a murderer.
a fresh, hot take that I’m pulling out of the oven right now: you can still enjoy watching that dynamic on screen without being automatically problematic as a person, because some of us just like vaguely icky or troubling content because it helps us negotiate our own ickiness or trauma.
