Oh my god there was an illegal Russian production of wildhorn’s Jekyll and hyde

it just sounds hillarous to me that there was an ILLEGAL production of a musical

I’m serious google “illegal Russian Jekyll and Hyde musical” and videos will come up from the production

I THINK THERE WAS A REVIVAL OF IT TOO. There was the orig in at least early 07 that continued to at least 09. And I think there was a revival in like 2014ish maybe using the same orchestration, blocking, translation, and costumes. And I’m pretty sure, the same theatre. (Alternatively the 07 one just continued to 14 and there was no revival) But that one was continued to now. They don’t have shows everyday, more like once a month, but on the theatre’s website there is a show today, Nov 23.

BUT THE FUNNIEST THING ABOUT THIS WHOLE THING IS THAT THE OFFICIAL RUSSIAN PRODUCTION HAD ALREADY STARTED IN LIKE 2014/5 AND IS STILL GOING ON

WHY HASN’T WILDHORN SHUT THE ILLEGAL ONE DOWN
