I will fuckin fight anyone who claims The Shape of Water didn’t pass the Bechdel Test just because the main character is mute and therefore “WELL TECHNICALLY TWO FEMALE CHARACTERS NEVER TALKED TO EACH OTHER”. I will throw shit at you if I hear this ableist nonsense. SHE HAS PLENTY OF CONVERSATIONS IN SIGN. The movie passes with beautiful flying colors, and I love her and Zelda’s friendship.
